VETERAN SERVICES

Our goal is to offer a successful transition of low-income and/or homeless veterans by providing emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, occupational skills training and placement assistance, financial literacy, entrepreneurship assistance, legal aid and case management support.

According to the HUD/VA supplemental report, veterans are 50 percent more likely to become homeless compared to all Americans, and the risk is even greater among veterans living in poverty and minority veterans.  Nearly half of homeless veterans were located in California, Texas, New York and Florida, while only 28 percent of all veterans were located in those same four states.

Poverty Solutions strongly encourages education, self-improvement, self-confidence, self-sufficiency, self-respect, personal responsibility, money management and work ethics while discouraging illegal activities and self-destructive behaviors through our Divest Poverty Workshops.
